The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Taiwanese Pilots as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Pilots defeated 4th placed Macau Macau BB in Taoyuan 104-86. Pilots dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Macau BB's 34. They outrebounded Macau BB 45-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. Pilots looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Macau BB's players. American center Alec Brown (216-1992, college: Green Bay) fired 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. chipped in 26 points and 6 assists. Pilots' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Damian Chong-Qui (173-1998, college: PFW) produced 25 points and 7 assists for lost side. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Macau BB at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Macau BB will play next round against strong Ryukyu trying to get back on the winning streak. Croatian swingman Dominic Gilbert (198-1996, college: UBC, agency: Players Group) answered with 23 points and 7 rebounds for HK Eastern. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Fubon Braves maintains first place with 2-0 record. HK Eastern at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost.
